Woodcraft Centre

The Woodcraft Centre uses reclaimed timber kindly donated by local factories around Birmingham, to create wonderful gifts, furniture products, garden pieces and bespoke items. We also carry out repair jobs on items which need fixing.

Our highly skilled craftsman, Bryan, has run the Better Pathways woodcraft workshop for over 12 years. He enjoys teaching people skills in wood craft and creating bespoke pieces for customers.

"We get all sorts of reclaimed timber from large pieces, cut offs and even wooden pallets which we then use to transform into other great products. The best thing is all the materials are donated to us and nothing goes to waste. Even the offcuts left over get bagged up for wood/fire burning! By reusing materials, we are helping the environment whilst providing a wonderful service."

- Bryan, craftsman at Better Pathways

We have worked on many bespoke projects! If you have a bespoke product idea in mind, please get in touch with us. We are happy to work with you and discuss your project brief. We work on a commission basis; you give us a set brief of what you would like, and we will get our creative caps on and make it!

Items we make:

  • Wheelbarrows
  • Birdhouses/bird boxes
  • Benches
  • Shelving units
  • Mirror frames
  • Toy boxes
  • Personalised giftware
  • Photo frames

Social Impact

The Woodcraft Centre helps those with mental health illnesses within our local community. The centre gives them a place to learn new skills, develop ways in working with wood craft, and provides a friendly positive environment to socialise.

“I find it very rewarding teaching people new skills and seeing them develop over time. Giving these people something to do makes a great change in wellbeing of their lives. Not only this but it allows them to socialize and meet with other people in a welcoming environment.”
