Producing bespoke products made from donated wood. Our quality woodworkers can make products to order using recycled pallets, softwood and hardwood.
What we do
Our participants are encouraged to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence, whilst hand-crafting wooden products using recycled and local timber.
Better Woodwork has an ongoing partnership with fellow social enterprise, Pathcarvers, and renowned woodworker JoJo Wood who share our values of empowering people through craft.

Home
Bookends, wooden pencil cases, spice racks and wine racks, and even jewellery boxes are among some of the many things we create that can be used around the home or your organisation.
Garden
Décor for the garden, such as birdboxes, bird feeders, planters, wishing wells and decorative wheelbarrows, and much more.
Business
Many of the items created for the home and/or the garden can also be used in businesses, both for décor and for practical uses. We design bespoke tables/chairs, shop counters, shelving, awards, engraved signage, etc.
Upcycling
Better Woodwork has been involved in many upcycling and repair projects, as well as designing bespoke pieces from recycled materials.

- Who works at Better Woodwork?
Better Woodwork supports young people and adults with learning disabilities, learning difficulties and with mental health challenges. All items are made by the participants at Better Pathways and every member of our team is dedicated to learning their craft while embarking on a social journey.
- What impact does my purchase have?
The sale of every item contributes to the work that Better Pathways does in supporting its participants to feel empowered to access training, employment and volunteering opportunities.
- What type of wood do you use?
All of our wood is reclaimed, recycled, and donated to us from places where it is no longer needed and given a new lease of life.
- Can I donate to Better Woodwork, or Better Pathways the charity??

Ordering, Shipping & Delivery
- When do we work?
Our usual working hours are Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 3:30pm.
- Can I order an item in a different colour / size / style?
Yes, if you are looking for something a bit different to the items as advertised, send us a query and we will be happy to discuss further.
- Can I commission a bespoke item?
Yes, we love designing bespoke pieces! Just send us a query and we will be happy to discuss further.
- How long will my order take to be delivered?
As all items are made to order and by hand at Better Woodwork, production times vary. We will give you a delivery estimate at the time of ordering and you will be updated throughout the process.
- How will my package be shipped?
We ship all our orders using either Royal Mail or DHL.
- How do I know my package has been shipped?
Shipping confirmation will be sent to you by email when your order is booked for delivery.
- Where can I find my tracking number?
Your tracking number will be sent in your shipping confirmation email.
- Why is my tracking number not updating?
Once the package has left Better Woodwork, tracking information will be updated by the courier.
